Lewis Hamilton insists Valtteri Bottas is not his only rival

Five-time Formula one World Champion Lewis Hamilton insists his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas is not his only rival for this year’s title. Bottas and Hamilton have two victories each from the opening four races of the 2019 season, with Bottas leading the drivers' standings by dint of earning a point for fastest lap in the Australian Grand Prix season opener. Mercedes drivers are more than 30 points ahead of third-placed Sebastian Vettel, but Hamilton insists it is too early to call it a two-horse race. “No, it’s far too early to say that one person is the title rival,” he said. “Ferrari this weekend had good pace in practice and in qualifying.  I think if both cars delivered as we delivered, and their drivers delivered as we delivered, I think it would have been a lot closer. But we still have to stay on our toes. We didn’t bring an upgrade this weekend and Ferrari did, so it’s a little bit of a surprise performance-wise because at some stage we will bring an upgrade.
