Nice coach Patrick Vieira has confirmed his interest in signing Everton's Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, telling
L’Equipe that the midfielder is looking for a "new challenge".
Schneiderlin joined the Toffees back in 2017 with a £24 million transfer fee. He was included in Carlo Ancelotti's first-team squad this term. However, the Frenchman could see his playing time limited, with Jean Phillipe Gbamin, Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph fit and ready return to the game.
Vieira has admitted Schneiderlin is looking to make a fresh start in another club, with the player's contract expiring in 2021.
The coach said:
"He is a very interesting player, (and) he’s looking for a new challenge."
The Mail suggests that Nice could pay just £7 million to sign the midfielder.
