Leicester make initial approach to sign Liverpool player on a free transfer

Leicester City have made an approach to sign Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana on a free transfer in the summer. The 31-year-old joined the Reds in 2014 and has suffered a number of serious injuries at Anfeild. This term the England international has found his playing time limited with Jurgen Klopp's side and wasn't even included in the squad travelling to Spain for the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid. Lallana's contract expires at the end of the season, with the player looking for more playing time. Leicester are eager to bring him to the King Power Stadium, reports Sky Sports. The Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of Lallana. Speaking on the player earlier this month, he said: "Adam is a fantastic player and one I brought into Liverpool. I have been aware of his talents since he was a young player at Southampton. He has done brilliantly [at Liverpool] and I’m sure he will be weighing up his options But I don’t need to speak about that now. We’ve spoken about that all through January. I don’t need to speak about the summer transfer window. I would only add he is a top-class player. "
