Leicester City to sign £45m Real Sociedad player

Leicester City are reportedly planning to sign Real Sociedad centre-back Diego Llorente for club-recording £45 million this January, as Mirror reports. The 26-year-old has been one of the essential players for Sociedad’s excellent start to the season, as they are joint top of the La Liga table with 22 points. According to Mirror, West Ham and Tottenham are also interested in the Spain international, but the Foxes appear to be at the front of the queue. Llorente who plays as a centre-back, can also play in midfield and has been identified as a potential long-term successor for Wes Morgan or Jonny Evans.
