Leicester City have set an action to turn Ryan Bennett's current loan deal into a permanent transfer, according to Daily Express.
Bennet joined the Foxes from Wolves in January on a season-loan deal.
His parent side are not expected the 29-year-old to return at the end of the season. Yet, the defender will be out of contract in the summer of 2021.
And Leicester are ready to sign Bennett with a permanent deal, as the Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers believes that the player will provide experience, reliability and enthusiasm.
He said:
"Ryan will bring in that cover we need. The two centre-halves, Jonny [Evans] and Cags [Caglar Soyuncu], have been outstanding all season, and Wes [Morgan] has been the experienced third choice."
