Laurent Koscielny pays tribute to Aaron Ramsey and speaks out on his form

Arsenal host Valencia at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday evening in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final. Left-back Laurent Koscielny is set to make his first appearance in the Europa League after suffering an Achilles problem. The 33-year-old defender says it’s not about his age or his injury: “It was a big challenge to fight against my injury. I learned a lot about my life and the people around me. It was a difficult experience but I got through it. Sometimes your eyes are opened more than they were before. Now it’s ok and it’ s behind me and I'm positive about where I am. I always fight for my club and my family.” Koscielny has also spoken out on his current form. “it’s been difficult. In the last two weeks, we are good with the result in Napoli and Watford but after we lost to Palace at home and we lost our confidence. We need to fight and to give more for the team. We can feel this confidence coming back and to have more freedom on the pitch. We want to fight every game. Against Napoli it was not easy but we fight and focused. Maybe everyone is a little tired but we are in the final sprint and we want to finish strong the season,” said the player. It has been reported today, that current season for Aaron Ramsey is over due to his injury and after recovering the Welsh international will join Serie A side Juventus. Koscielny has paid tribute to his teammate: “He loves this club He played 100 per cent for the club. We will miss him a lot. I think the first FA Cup we won together he gave us this trophy. It was a good memory.”
