James Maddison has been ruled out since he sustained a hip injury during the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa on February 21.
Leicester City's playmaker has now missed six matches - against Slavia Prague, Arsenal, Burnley, Brighton, Sheffield United and Manchester United.
The Foxes have won their past three matches in Maddison's absence - most recently the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Manchester United.
Brendan Rodgers' side return to action after the international break when they take on Manchester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, April 3.
Maddison has returned to training and Leicester boss Rodgers is hoping he will be in contention after the international break.
Before the Sheffield United game, he had said:
"Day by day he's getting better. There's no timeline on it, it's just going to be about how he feels.
"He’s as frustrated as us all because he's such a big player for us. Hopefully he will play a real part for us in the closing games.
"He’s a young player who loves the game, he trains every day, he loves talking about the game, improving and becoming better and there is an element of frustration when you can't do that, when you are sat on the treatment table watching everyone else train outside.
“After those first few days or so, his spirits have been up. It's just waiting and seeing how he reacts to some of the work he’s doing. It's in the same area, but it's not the same injury as before. Hopefully he will be back sooner rather than later."
