The latest Arsenal injury news and expected return dates

Arsenal have started to bring players into the club but they’re set to be without two key men for the start of the campaign. Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding were long-term absentees after sustaining with anterior cruciate ligament injuries last term. Holding has been out since the start of December but resumed light training towards the end of the 2018/19 season. As for Bellerin, the right-back sustained his ACL injury in January during the 2-0 win over Chelsea. Evening Standard have reported that Bellerin will miss the start of next season. The other two players in the treatment room at Arsenal are Bernd Leno (Thumb/Wrist) and defender Konstantinos Mavropanos who picked up a knock against Burnley on the final day of the Premier League season which caused him to miss the Europa League final. Arsenal's first pre-season friendly match is scheduled for next Saturday against Boreham Wood and it remains to be seen if Leno and Mavropanos feature.
