Kevin De Bruyne reveals his injury struggles and makes bold claim on Pep Guardiola

Kevin De Bruyne has opened up about his injury struggles he had this summer and towards the end of the last season. In the Champions League final in May the Manchester City's midfielder suffered and eye injury and was forced off. However, just a few weeks later De Bruyne returned to the pitch to help Belgium in Euro 2020, where they reached up to the quarter-final. The 30-year-old now reveals he has painkillers before the Italy game.
"I played with two painkilling injections against Italy at EURO 2020," said De Bruyne, while on international duty in Belgium.   "If I'd known beforehand what it would do my ankle, I wouldn't have played.   "I came in [to EURO 2020] with an injury to my eye socket and after three matches, I left with an even more serious ankle injury.   "I knew immediately that my ankle was bad after that tackle against Portugal."
De Bruyne has also talked about City boss Pep Guardiola and his reactions after defeats and victories. He said:
"He can be angrier after a 1-0 win in which we played badly, than after a defeat in which we played well, as recently against PSG."
