Kepa Arrizabalaga’s first words after being charged in Carabao Cup final

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga breaks silence after being charged for his behaviour on the pitch in Carabao Cup final against Chelsea. The Spanish stopper disobeyed coach Maurizio Sarri's orders when told to come off in the final stages of extra-time on Sunday. Both the club, player and coach have since attempted to play down the incident, labelling it a misunderstanding. But on Monday Chelsea announced that they were taking action against the  world’s most expensive goalkeeper. "I have thought a lot more about yesterday’s events. "Although there was a misunderstanding, on reflection, I made a big mistake with how I handled the situation. "I wanted to take the time today to apologise fully and in person to the coach, to Willy (Caballero), my team-mates and to the club. "I have done this and now I want to offer the same apology to the fans. I will learn from this episode and will accept any punishment or discipline the club decides is appropriate." Kepa's one-week fine will be donated to the Chelsea Foundation. City will be back in action against Tottenham in the Premier League on Wednesday.
