Why Kepa Arrizabalaga did not break FA rules for refusing to come off

Yesterday, at Wembley, Chelsea faced Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final and lost 3-4 on penalty shoot out. Before the penalty shoot out would kick-off, Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga appeared to be injured but later refused to come off when the Blues boss decided to substitute him. The goalkeeper claimed that there was a misunderstanding and he didn't mean to disrespect Maurizio Sarri. Despite being criticized for his behavior, it has now emerged that Kepa didn't break FA rules. (via Mirror) The FA’s official Laws of the Game and FA Rules state that there are no rules in place which gives referees the power to demand a player leaves the field of play. The rule states:the rules: “If a player who is to be replaced refuses to leave, play continues.”
