Kalvin Phillips makes Ben White transfer admission after failed Leeds move

Kalvin Phillips says Ben White was initially "gutted" not to join Leeds United permanently after a successful loan spell last season. Leeds United wanted to make White's contract permanent, however Brighton rejected all the bids made by the Whites. Eventually, Ben White signed a four-year deal with the Seagulls. He has made 7 appearances so far during this season. "I spoke to Ben after his game the other day," Phillips said on the Leeds That podcast. "Obviously he was gutted at the time when he didn’t sign, but it came to a point where you have to just forget about the chance to play for Leeds and just play football.
