Kai Havertz set for crunch Bayer Leverkusen meeting tomorrow

Chelsea transfer target Kai Havertz will reportedly ask Bayer Leverkusen to be allowed to join the Blues. The Bundesliga side are set to return to training ahead of their Europa League second leg last-16 clash with Rangers. The Blues have made Havertz their priority signing after landing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. All that is stopping to Blues from making a move for the versatile midfielder is his £90million price tag. Frank Lampard's side are hoping that price can be reduced to £70m so they can also look to strengthen other areas of the squad. Leverkusen missed out on the Champions League places as they finished fifth in the Bundesliga table. According to Sport Bild, Havertz will meet with club bosses to discuss leaving this summer. It is reported the 21-year-old will specifically ask to be allowed to join Chelsea.       Source: Express
