Kai Havertz sends bold message to his critics after stunning Chelsea performance

Chelsea are still unbeaten under Thomas Tuchel as they picked up yet another win on Monday night, against Everton. Ben Godfrey’s owngoal and Jorginho’s penalty strike handed the west Londoners an important three points. Kai Havertz had a huge input in both goals for Chelsea and after the game has claimed he is ready to prove his doubters wrong. The 21-year-old joined the Blues last summer from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth up to £71million but struggled during his first six months at Stamford Bridge. "It wasn't easy for me to come here, everything was new," Havertz told Chelsea's website. "I think it's seven months ago since I came so now it's time to perform. I know that. "I know there are many people right now who have had doubts about me but I just keep on going, keep on working. I try to help my team in every training session and every game, that's the most important thing. "I hope that a performance like this will give me a lot of confidence. I hope to continue like this. "It would be nice to have a goal because I've had a lot of time without one. But I don't care about this. The most important thing is we score, that's what counts. "It was a good performance from us. We did very well, especially in the second half. They gave us a lot of space and I think it was a good match and a deserved win for us. "Now we are four points in front of them and we have to secure that. That’s the plan, our goal is the Champions League, and I think there will be some tough matches coming in the next few months. "But we have to keep on working in every training session. I think 11 games without a loss is very strong but we can keep on going."
