Kai Havertz drops hint over his Chelsea future ahead of Germany vs England

Kai Havertz has admitted that he and Germany teammates Timo Werner and Antonio Rudiger will likely be in contact with England stars and Chelsea teammates Mason Mount, Reece James and Ben Chilwell ahead of Tuesday's Euro 2020 round of 16 game between the two countries. The 22-year-old has established himself as one of Die Mannschaft's main performers during the group stage of the tournament, having been involved in four of Germany's six goals. And Havertz has admitted that ahead of the game, there will likely be messages exchanged between the Chelsea stars before they do battle on the pitch. “Timo, Toni, and I get on very well with the three Chelsea players [in the England squad], so there is always contact,” Havertz said during his pre-match press conference. "It’s clear that you sometimes have a chat or two before the game. It’s not like we’re in contact every day, but before a game like this, you sometimes write each other text messages." Despite his not the best season at Stamford Bridge this season, Havertz hopes he will happily remain at Chelsea long term. "I haven't seen that much of London yet," he said. "After training, you are happy when you are at home and can spend the day at home. But I hope that London will give me a lot of fun in the years to come."
