Jurgen Klopp considers Joe Gomez 'better than good' after Raheem Sterling clash

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp thinks Joe Gomez is "better than good" after a clash with Manchester City's Raheem Sterling on international duty. The two players have been involved in an on-field argument during Liverpool's 3 - 1 win over Manchester City on November 10 just before the international break. The City forward Sterling was dropped from England's fixture against Montenegro for Euro 2020 qualifiers after a bust-up with Gomez. He returned for the qualifier against Kosovo three days later. After the incident Sterling admitted "the emotions got better of me" and apologized to Gomez and the rest of the England squad. Speaking on the case, Liverpool manager Klopp said: "The people involved were fine pretty quick. Things like this happen in football. The FA dealt with it; I can't judge that. The players are absolutely OK." Liverpool are leading the Premier League table, while City are 8 points behind them. The Reds' next opponents will be Brighton on Saturday. Meanwhile, Manchester City will face Chelsea tomorrow.
