Jude Bellingham makes Manchester United decision amid Borussia Dortmund interest

Jude Bellingham would want to join Borussia Dortmund rather than Manchester United, if he leaves Birmingham City this summer, according to transfer expert Duncan Castles. There have been hugely conflicting reports on the future of the 16-year-old midfielder, with some reports in Germany suggesting Dortmund had agreed a fee with Blues. According to The Athletic, the Bundesliga club had agreed a fee and a potential salary with the youngster. Castles, who has sources close to the Manchester club, has stated that Dortmund are close to agreeing personal terms, but as of yet, have come to no agreement on a fee. Speaking to Reach's Transfer Window Podcast, Castles said: “The state of play, I am told is Bellingham likes what’s on offer from Dortmund.  "He sees what they’ve achieved in bringing young players into the squad. When you’re talking about an English context, obviously you have Jadon Sancho as a primary example. Their willingness to promote players into the first team rapidly and the impact it has had on their careers going forward. “I am told he is very close to agreeing personal terms with Borussia Dortmund, I am also told Birmingham have granted permission to Dortmund to speak to the player. This is all done with the agreement of his current club. But my understanding is their hasn’t been an agreement on transfer fee yet with Dortmund. Although that may come in the coming days. “And of course, if Bellingham decides that Dortmund is the place he wants to go, it becomes much easier for them to get that deal. “Other clubs retain their interest, Manchester United are one of those, who had two serious attempts to sign him in January."
