After Spain head coach Julen Lopetegui’s appointment as Real Madrid manager Spanish football federation decided to sack him as they were not aware of the changes they should be. The president of the Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, insisted that he had little choice but to terminate Lopetegui’s contract as a matter of principle.
