Jose Mourinho handed big injury boost as key Tottenham player returns to training

Jose Mourinho has been handed a huge injury boost, as club captain Hugo Lloris return to training at Hotspur Way. The World Cup winner suffered an elbow injury during the opening few minutes of the team's 3-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion in October and has yet to play under new boss. During his absence Paulo Gazzaniga has had a decent run in the starting XI but Lloris is set to return to the team once he is back to full fitness. Hugo Lloris is back in training - but Mourinho isn’t giving any potential return dates yet, stating only early February. "I said February a month ago", he said. "If you say late or early, I’d say early (February). "Things are going well, getting his confidence back, he’s training so I’d say he’s one of our new players." Despite the good news, club record signing Tanguy Ndombele will once again not be available for this weekend's game at Watford as he is continuing late stages of rehabilitation from his hip injury. He got injured and had to be replaced by Giovani Lo Celso during 1-0 defeat against Southampton on New Year's Day. Ben Davies is also in the late stages of his rehab as he is to return from the ankle injury he sustained at West Ham in November and Mourinho confirmed ahead of last week's game against Liverpool that the Welshman will be back before the month is out. Spurs have also confirmed that Harry Kane is in the early stages of his rehab after undergoing surgery on his hamstring, with Moussa Sissoko travelling to France with a member of the medical team to undergo the early stages of his rehab after going under the knife on his knee injury.
