Jose Mourinho criticizes Mohamed Salah for horror challenge on Danilo

Jose Mourinho has criticized VAR for ‘ignoring’ an obvious red card for Mohamed Salah against Porto on Tuesday night. Liverpool beat Porto 2-0 at Anfield in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final and Salah was lucky to avoid a red card. The Egyptian was not giving his marching orders for his studs-up challenge on Porto’s Danilo but he was lucky to remain on the pitch at Anfield. Salah was fortunate not to cause serious injury to Danilo and Mourinho admitted the Liverpool forward should have been given his marching orders. "But you also have the VAR ignoring things that you don’t even need a replay. It’s Salah," Mourinho told Russia Today. "It hurts me a little bit to say because I love the kid and I know he’s very pure."
