Jose Mourinho has added to the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Manchester United's Champions League exit - by immediately labelling them Europa League favourites. Mourinho’s former club drop into the secondary European competition after Tuesday night’s 3-2 defeat at RB Leipzig. During his pre-match press conference, Tottenham boss was asked about United, who were bookmakers’ favourites last term when they reached the semi-finals, losing to eventual winners Sevilla, and he had no intention of missing his opportunity. “Of course, now Manchester United become one of the top favourites to win the competition,” said Mourinho on Wednesday. “The teams that drop down are always strong teams, teams that normally don’t belong to that level of the Europa League competition.
