Jamie Redknapp says Manchester City have a player who is “going to be a hit”

Jamie Redknapp has shared his praise for Jack Grealish, claiming that Manchester City attacker is “going to be a hit”. The Citizens have secured the transfer of the England international for a record £100m fee during the summer transfer window. Since then Grealish has made four appearances, scoring one goal and assisting once for Pep Guardiola's side. Speaking about the 25-year-old on Sky Sports, Redknapp has named him as one of his summer signings to watch. “Yes he has [already made an impact],” he said. “It’ll be interesting to see how he keeps going now. “They would have loved a striker in as well at Man City – Harry Kane. “But I do think it’s more of a level playing field for City this year because they’ve got players who can play like him. “They’ve got so many quality players in midfield that can play wide left, the likes of Sterling, Bernardo Silva, it is so interesting. “He’s going to be a hit. I’m a massive fan of his. He’s a maverick, he’s a player you want to see. “I would’ve loved to have played alongside a player like that the way he gets on the ball. He’s going to be a hit.”
