Jamie Carragher sent Liverpool fans into meltdown last night with a tweet regarding Kylian Mbappe joining the Reds.
Liverpool fans created a bunch of theories about Mbappe’s move to the club. Mbappe himself, fueled the speculations when asked what team he will choose while playing FIFA, Frenchman mentioned Liverpool.
“Liverpool, because they won Champions League” Mbappe told ESPN.
Carragher retweeted a post on social media stating the Paris Saint-Germain had come to an agreement over the striker.
His retweet read: “BREAKING NEWS: Liverpool agree fee with PSG to sign Kylian Mbappe.”
The original post came from an account called ‘SKY SPORTS NEWS’ with the TV channel’s logo as the profile picture.
The account was lacking the blue verification tick signalling the source to be reliable and genuine. The parody account was later suspended which means the tweet is no longer available to view.
