Ilkay Gundogan’s Manchester City future in doubt

Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is yet to decide his future. According to The Sun, the German will look for assurances over regular football before signing a new deal with the Premier League club. Gundogan, 28, has made 43 appearances in all competitions, scored five goals and created seven assists, this season so far. His current deal with Pep Guardiola’s side expires in 2020 but he wants to know the type of role he will have under the Catalan before penning an extension. The German joined Citizens in 2016 from Borussia Dortmund and has made more than 100 appearances.   He has been linked with Inter Milan and Bayern Munich.
