Iker Casillas aims dig at Mohamed Salah with a tweet after Liverpool beat Porto in Champions League

Iker Casillas has hit out after Mohamed Salah escaped a red card in Liverpool’s victory over Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. Goals from Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino sealed a 2-0 win for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who are now heavy favourites to reach the semi-finals. Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas appeared to dig out Mohamed Salah after two incidents during the Champions League tie. Liverpool were lucky in two cases. During the first 45 minutes, the ball appeared to strike Trent Alexander-Arnold on the arm but following a VAR review, Porto were not awarded a penalty. And the second was Mohamed Salah’s escape from red card. The Egyptian was not giving his marching orders for his studs-up challenge on Porto’s Danilo but he was lucky to remain on the pitch at Anfield. https://twitter.com/IkerCasillas/status/1115744925881176065 Former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg admits Salah was lucky to remain on the pitch at Anfield. "The Liverpool forward comes over the top of the ball and clearly plants his studs onto the shin of his opponent," Clattenburg told the Daily Mail. "UEFA guidelines on this type of challenge are clear – anything with studs above the ankle is a red card." Liverpool will face Porto in the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final on April 17.
