Ian Wright delivers verdict on Ben White after his Arsenal debut

Ian Wright thinks Ben White "did well" on his Arsenal debut on Friday night. The Gunners faced a 2 - 0 defeat to newly-promoted Brentford, with the Bees' man Ivan Toney earning the Man of the Match award in the first Premier League game of the season. Speaking about White's contribution to the game, Wright said that the defender played well against Toney. “I think Ben White did well against Toney,” he said. “His distribution was very good. “They are going to need to do something (in the transfer market) because if you are going to play against a promoted team. “And you are not going to at least match them for the endeavour and the intensity that they are going to have then it’s going to be a long season for Arsenal. It’s worrying.”
