Huddersfield send message to Brendan Rodgers and Leicester City after Andy King loan

Huddersfield boss Danny Cowley has thanked Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers for helping to facilitate Andy King’s loan move to his side. The Championship club have brought in midfielder King on a deal to the end of the season, likely to be his final loan move away from the King Power Stadium, before he leaves the club permanently this summer, as his contract expires. Cowley is sure that King will have a big impact on the Terriers’ season as they battle the drop in the second tier, and for that, he is grateful to Rodgers and the Foxes' director of football Jon Rudkin. “I’d like to begin by giving our thanks to Brendan Rodgers and Jon Rudkin at Leicester City for making Andy’s loan possible,” Cowley told Huddersfield's official website.

“They’ve gone out of their way to help a player who has done brilliantly for them, which says a lot both about their club and the player.

“There’s a real alignment with what we’re striving to do and Andy’s goals for the rest of the season.

“We’re fighting to maintain our position in the league and Andy is incredibly determined to do well, as he’s out of contract soon and fighting to make the Wales squad for the upcoming European Championships.

“He’s a versatile, goal-scoring midfielder who can play in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, which is important to us too.”
