How good is Allan? 3 statistical facts about Everton’s possible newcomer

The latest reports in European media suggest Everton are close on signing Napoli midfielder Allan.  The Brazilian international has been a long time target for several Premier League clubs, including the Toffees.  Carlo Ancelotti has managed the player during his short spell at Napoli. Considering the fact that the Italian side has already spent 70+ mln on Victor Osimhen, there is no doubt they will sell some of their current valuable assets, including Allan. The deal is yet to happen. We don’t know if it will or not. But we took some interesting statistical facts about the player.   1.Tackles: Allan is one of the best defensive players in the Serie A. This season, the 29-year-old player has registered 55 tackles and won 36 (3rd best in the team). And an important remark. Allan has averaged almost 15 full appearances (90 minutes). Imagine what happens if he plays a whole season.  2.Shot-Creating Actions: Allan isn’t a classical defensive midfielder. He also has the attacking qualities. In the 2019/20 season the Brazilian international registered 40 Shot-creating actions (SCA) (he started 17 times). During the 2018/19 campaign, he had 85 SCA. He had more playing time under Ancelotti and the latter knows how to take the best from the player.  3.Pass-Success Rate: A coach usually expects a pass accuracy from his midfielders, no matter the style of play. Allan, with his responsibilities on the pitch, has a higher pass-success rate, 86.6 %.  Bonus: Allan is a flexible player when it comes to tactics. He used to play as a number 8 under Maurizio Sarri, as a number 6 under Ancelotti and Gattuso.  The Everton coach used to play 4-4-2, but with the Brazilian he gets the option of either 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1.  Nicolo Schira has just reported that Everton offered 20 mln + 5 mln as add-ons for the player. Allan has agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club.
