"He's perfect": Liverpool backed to sign Premier League star to replace captain Jordan Henderson

Garth Crooks has urged Liverpool to sign Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips as a potential successor to the club captain Jordan Henderson. The 25-year-old has become a key player in Marcelo Bielsa's side as the Whites are enjoying the Premier League season, after being promoted to England's top tier last term. Crooks thinks Leeds midfielder has all chances to be an ideal successor to Henderson at Anfield. “Phillips can cover the ground, he’s not afraid to stick his foot in, and sees the pass," he said. “He doesn’t immediately grab your attention but given time you begin to realise the enormous contribution he’s making to the game. “I think he’s the perfect replacement for Jordan Henderson and I don’t mean just for England.”
