Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has returned to the pitch after sustaining an injury. The 30-year-old played in Arsenal U23 team against West Ham which was cut short because of weather conditions.
The Armenian only managed one half - and was captured before the game looking leggy in the warm up.
Arsenal were cruising 3-0 thanks to goals from Eddie Nketiah, Jow Willock and Konstantinos Mavropanos when the match was cut short.
After the match the player thanked everyone for the support:
“After a while I came back. I started playing with the under -23s and I’m very happy. I hope I won’t have any more injuries. I’m thankful to everyone who has been working with me. To the medical staff, the fitness coaches and everyone, including my team-mates,” Mkhitaryan claimed.
Mkhitaryan has been out since sustaining a foot injury against Tottenham back on December 19.
