Harry Kane makes bold claims over Dele Alli progress and life under Ryan Mason

Harry Kane ha stalked about latest progress of Dele Alli and the life under interim coach Ryan Mason at Tottenham, while speaking to Spurs TV. Missing out on the matchday squad for large chunks of the season under Jose Mourinho, Alli has come back into favour in recent weeks under Mason. After playing a key role in Son Heung-min's goal against Leeds United eight days earlier, Alli was handed his chance in the Spurs XI once again and impressed with a bright showing. "Absolutely, he's been great," said Kane. "He's been ready for his opportunity again and he's been working behind the scenes at the training ground, in the gym and, like you say, he's looking very good and that's what we need. "We need everyone playing at their highest level to see how high we can finish come the end of the season." The England captain was also asked about life under Mason having previously come through the club's academy with the 29-year-old and played alongside him in the first team. "It's great. I said when he first got the job that I'm really excited for him and I think he's been brilliant," he added. "He's taken it on really, really well. It's not an easy thing to do to come in without any experience and take the team, take the training and take the meetings. "He's handled that stuff really, really well and he's got us playing some great football. "I want to win as much as I can for him and hopefully we can finish with two more."
