Harry Kane injury blow and Mourinho's message to youngster

Tottenham are in action on Sunday,  as they head to Middlesbrough to face the Championship side, who are managed by former Spurs defender Jonathan Woodgate. However, Jose Mourinho has been handed some bad news on the injury front ahead of the match, as team's talisman Harry Kane has suffered a tear to his left hamstring, which is likely to keep him out of action for an extended period of time. Ahead of the match, Mourinho talking about the striker's condition said: "I am more on bad news than good news, that's my feeling. What the player felt, Harry Kane leaving a match, the way he did it, he didn't think twice, it didn't take him two seconds to realise the severity of the situation, some opinions from the medical department before the test results." Spurs boss has said that it is still too soon for teenage striker Troy Parrott to replace Harry Kane while the England striker is out injured and  it will still be a couple of more years before the youngster is able to reach the levels of the 26-year-old. "I think too soon (to replace Harry). I think one thing is potential and another thing is conditions to express potential and I think he needs time," he said. "Having minutes, being involved is one thing. Another thing is what you call the direct replacement. To be that he needs to work. There are many different processes of a player to develop, in some cases the loans are very good." "Where some minutes will arrive like it happened against Burnley, and step by step but not in a situation where we see Harry Kane is injured and Parrott is the man to resolve our problems."
