Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Matt Doherty: Ryan Mason provides team news ahead of Southampton

It has been quite a rough few days for the football fans all around the globe. With that inclusive Super League announcement and withdrawal, the sacking of Jose Mourinho as Tottenham head coach, it has really been tough. This all comes just days before Spurs play Manchester City in the EFL Cup final. On Tuesday morning it was announced that Ryan Mason will be the north London side’s new interim manager. The 29-year-old is a former English footballer, who joined the coaching staff of Tottenham in April 2018. Ahead of Premier League clash with Southampton, Mason has provided team news. On Harry Kane's injury, New Spurs boss said: "I'm not sure currently. He didn't train today. It's one of those cases where we're taking it day by day. We're still not sure about the weekend yet but what we do know is that Harry is working extremely hard to get over this injury. "I think with any injury you just take it day by day. Harry's a professional, he'll be doing all he can to get fit as soon as possible. It's one of those, there's no timescale on it. But hopefully Harry won't be out for too long." On frozen out players like Dele Alli, Mason said: "Of course. Whatever happened before, I wasn't involved with, I'm not too sure what happened, but all I can take is the players, how they trained yesterday, how they trained today, the fitness of the guys, the mentality, the mindset, how the feeling is within the group, within the individual, then it's our job to pick a team to win games of football." On Matt Doherty and Ben Davies injuries, the 29-year-old said: "Matt returned to the training group yesterday, Ben I am not sure how long he has until he gets back. That's all we've got at the moment." Source- football.london Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
