Hansi Flick speaks out on Philippe Coutinho ahead of Bayer Leverkusen clash

Since making his loan move from Barcelona to Bayern Munich, Philippe Coutinho has scored 3 goals and provided 6 assists in his 17 appearances so far during this season. Although Coutinho has been performing really well for the Bundesliga side, however, Bayern interim head coach Hansi Flick said that he will continue to give the Brazilian time to settle. Ahead of Bayern Munich's game with Bayer Leverkusen, Flick said: “We’re well aware of the quality he has. “Sometimes it’s really useful when you give someone a bit of time. He wasn’t able to take part in full pre-season training and when he joined us he hadn’t done a lot of training. He just needs to be given time. “At Liverpool he played on the left side of attacking midfield, which is exactly where he’s playing for us too. “It’s important that he can play to his strengths, namely his technical quality, going one-on-one with opponents, playing the final ball and also going for goal himself. Those things are important for us. “He played well against Fortuna Düsseldorf [on Matchday 12], scored a goal and helped set up another, and he also got two assists in [the UEFA Champions League win in] Belgrade. I’m happy with him.” source - Bundesliga.com
