Mercedes Pilot Lewis Hamilton won the Mexican Grand Prix held last week-end. Two time world champion won the race from pole position.
As in the United States a week ago, Hamilton spearheaded another Mercedes double, finishing 8.3 seconds clear over his teammate Nico Rosberg to close the gap to 19 points with two grands prix left in the championship.
Red Bull youngster Max Verstappen ended the Grand Prix third, but the stewards gave a five-second time penalty soon after the finish. That droped Verstappen to fifth meaning that he had to leave the the podium to Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel.
But that was not the end. After the race the stewards investigated another incident with Vettel and the second Red Bull of Daniel Ricciardo. Four time world champion also got a penalty, as Verstappen did. Vettel got down to fifth position. As a result, the third-positions got Daniel Ricciardo.
