Hakim Ziyech ex-teammate says what Chelsea fans should know about the newcomer
Hakim Ziyech’s former teammate Youness Mokhtar says the Morrocan international has all the ‘characteristics’ to be a captain.
The-27-year-old winger will join the Blues after this season is finished. Ziyech, a key player for Ajax for the past two seasons, has scored 6 goals and provided 12 assists in Eredivisie season, which is already finished.
Chelsea will surely get a skilful player for the next season who can add a class and quality for the offensive line. But it is not his style of play that fans should be aware of.
“He has the characteristics to be a captain.” Mokhtar told Football London.
“He is a leader. If things are not going well, he tries to lead and show what he’s got and to make the team better.
“You have to win his trust. If you are an honest guy with him, he will give you all of him. And he wants to tell you the truth.
“Especially with the media, sometimes if you are telling something that’s not true about him, he will remember that and keep that in his mind and his heart. He’s not a boy who forgets things quickly. If you fly straight with him, you will see that he’s a very nice guy.” he added.
