Granit Xhaka reveals what is Arsenal's best hope of Champions League spot

Arsenal star Granit Xhaka admits his side's best hope of Champions League spot may come by winning the Europa League. Jamie Vardy scored twice as Leicester dented Arsenal's hopes of qualifying for the European competition with a 3-0 victory at the King Power Stadium. A third consecutive Premier League defeat left The Gunners two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, who drew 1-1 with Manchester United at Old Trafford. Xhaka told Standard Sport: “If you are in the semi-final, of course [it is the best route]. If you are in the semi-final, you are two games from the final. I know anything can happen but if you are three games from the title, you have to think positive. “It is not the right moment to think about the top four. We had three big chances, starting against Crystal Palace, Wednesday against Wolverhampton and finished on Sunday. If you don’t take three points in these games, we have not to speak about the top four at the moment.” Arsenal are in the semi-finals of the Europa League and will play with Valencia in the first leg of the clash on Thursday, May 2.
