GOAL: Arsenal clsoing in on signing Norwegian winger

Arsenal are closing in on to sign Norwegian winger George Lewis, according to Goal. The 19-year-old fascinated the Gunners' boss Mikel Arteta during a two-week trial at the club. The youngster is a free agent now after he left Norwegian third-division side Fram Larvik. He has been in talks with the Gunners and Arsenal are now ready to offer him a permanent deal.

Goal claims, Lewis expected to sign a deal by next week, after spending a fortnight with the Gunners earlier in the year. Lewis attended Arsenal's 1-0 victory over West Ham. Lewis started his career at Tromso, then joined third-tier side Tromsdalen. He also played for Fram Larvik and Ispwich. Initially, he offered a week-trial, but he caught the eye of Arteta.
