“Get real!” Roy Keane gives Frank Lampard reality check

Roy Keane has insisted that Frank Lampard should 'get real' after his post-match comments following Chelsea's 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester United. Chelsea were in action last night, but it was not an ideal result for Frank Lampard’s side as they suffered 2-0 defeat to Manchester United. Goals from Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire sealed the win. Maguire was lucky to remain on the field when appearing to kick out at Michy Batshuayi but did not pick up a red card. Lampard was frustrated post-match but Keane had some choice words for the former England player after his interview on Sky Sports. "I think it’s tough on managers when you get beaten in a game, Lampard was very honest, clearly frustrated, he keeps talking about scoring goals but they need to stop conceding daft goals," Keane told Sky Sports. "It’s a tough run for Chelsea at the moment and they’ve lost that momentum from the start of the season, when you lose that it’s hard to get it back. "You’d fancy their chances tonight but now you look at the Tottenham game, this is where you’re tested as a manager. We said earlier in the season, he had plenty of plaudits, then all of a sudden there are huge question marks. "If you look at the game tonight, look at the attacking players on the pitch, the forward players were so poor and the lack of quality was scary when you look back at all the top players Chelsea have had previously. "I'm sure Frank will be thinking 'please God get me to the end of the season and finish in the top four', then I bet you he will go and try to get one or two big strikers. "He said about getting goals and taking chances but you've got to keep clean sheets." Source: Football.london
