Gary Neville reveals what has surprised him most about Liverpool this season

Liverpool beat 2-0 Wolves at home in the last Premier League game of the season and finished second with 97 points, one point behind champions Manchester City. Although the Reds couldn't win the title race, but Gary Neville has praised them for the way they challenged Manchester City for the Premier League title, admitting that Jurgen Klopp's side "played like champions". "They are far better than I ever imagined and have done far more than I ever imagined," said Neville. "I never thought that squad was capable of mounting a challenge for the title like they have and the Champions League. I thought they would fall in the last month but incredible credit to them. "They have played like champions all season, they have fallen short and haven't won it. "When I think of the Barcelona team that Pep Guardiola had eight, nine years ago, it stopped Manchester United winning three Champions League titles just because they were so good, and Liverpool can just look at it pragmatically with a philosophical view that they came up against a great side." Liverpool have reached the final of the Champions League and will face Tottenham on June 1st.
