Gareth Southgate explains why he picked Aaron Wan-Bissaka over Kyle Walker in England squad

Earlier today the England squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers was revealed. Gareth Southgate chose players from different clubs and one of them was Manchester United's newcomer Aaron Wan-Bissaka. While Wan-Bissaka was called up for the next month's games against Bulgaria and Kosovo, Manchester City defender Kyle Walker was left out of the squad. And after the 25 man squad was revealed, Southgate was asked to explain why he chose Wan-Bissaka over Walker, to which the England coach answered: "We tracked him [Wan-Bissaka] very closely last year and thought he had an outstanding season. "But we wanted him to stay with the U21 group, he has adapted well and quickly to a high-profile move. We are looking at him and Trent, that is reason Kyle Walker is not with us. "We wanted to reintegrate Kieran Trippier back into the group. He had a huge move to Atletico Madrid which has gone under the radar. "We lack some experience in a lot of positions but we have to keep evolving as a squad and a team. We had a two-year spell of progress but we can't stand still...for the long-term we need to start integrating them (young players)."
