Former referee gives his verdict on Arsenal penalty during Manchester United match

Former Irish referee Dermot Gallagher has given his verdicts on Arsenal - Manchester United (2-0) match’s controversial penalty. During the second half, when Arsenal were leading by one goal, Jonathan Moss gave Gunners a penalty after Fred challenged Alexandre Lacazette. Gallagher said (via Sky Sports): "No (it's not a penalty). I can understand why the referee [Jonathan Moss] gave it from his position, but when you see it from the front angle, I think he thinks he trips him. But when you see it front on, he does not. There is a slight coming together with the thighs, but that is not enough to give a penalty and it is also something the referee would not have seen." Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored to seal Arsenal's victory over rivals. Unai Emery's side is currently 4th in EPL table with two point advantage over Manchester United.
