Former Real Madrid star on Lopetegui: I hope he will do better than Zizou

Former Real Madrid star Christian Karembeu has given his comments about new head coach Julen Lopetegui. Lopetegui signed contract with Los Blancos before World Cup 2018 group stage and was sacked from national team because of ‘secret negotiations’ with Florentino Perez. He will now replace Zinedine Zidane who has won 3 UCL titles in a row in his 3 seasons with the club. Karembeu, participating in match of football legends in Yerevan, Armenia, was hopeful that new head coach can be as good as his ex-teammate in France national team. “I hope he will do better than Zizou. That’s gonna be hard, because Real Madrid is a big club and this is a big challenge.” Karembeu told VivaroNews Sport.
