FIFA have confirmed they will investigate Sampdoria’s claim on financial obligations from Sporting Lisbon for Bruno Fernandes’ move to Manchester United.

The Portuguese international joined Red Devils in January for a €58 mln fee. Sampdoria have told FIFA on April 3, that they should have had 10 % of the transfer fee, which is €4.57 mln.

FIFA spokesperson said (via Sky Sports): “The matter is currently being investigated and consequently we cannot provide further comments.”

Fernandes has played for Sampdoria in the 2016/17 season, appearing 33 times in official matches and scoring 5 goals.

He then joined Sporting for €7.5 mln.
