The former Arsenal and Manchester United player slammed his coach following the 2-0 win over Lokomotiv Moscow claiming he cannot help his team if he keeps getting substituted.
Pereira has responded, insisting the forward’s high profile status alone is not enough to command a starting birth.
“We should respect each other. It is my decision to decide which players will be on pitch.
“He wasn’t really fit for many games this season though he’s doing better lately,” he said.
