Fabrizio Romano provides Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho contract update

Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Virgil van Dijk's and Fabinho's contract situation at Liverpool. The contracts of both of the players expire in the summer of 2023. During this season, Fabinho has made 24 appearances, meanwhile Van Dijk has made just 8 appearances as he has been sidelined with an ACL injury since October. Speaking on his Here We Go Podcast, Fabinho said that the Reds priority is to tie up both Van Dijk and Fabinho, regardless of the situation with Gini Wijnaldum. Wijnaldum's contract expires at the of this season. According to Romano, Jurgen Klopp's side have yet to hear back from Wijnaldum although the Reds want to keep the midfielder.
