Ex-Premier League referee gives his VERDICT on Andy Robertson TACKLE against Tanganga

Former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher has backed Martin Atkinson for not sending off Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson after Scotland international’s tackle against Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga.  Jose Mourinho has been left furious after the decision and couldn’t understand how VAR referees could not see the incident and tell Atkinson to give a straight red card to Robertson.  Gallagher wrote on Sky Sports: "It's not the same tackle [as Aubameyang's], and I think this is a yellow card tackle. Robertson's first touch is not good, it runs away, and he goes in, gets the ball and continues through. I think he catches him on the side of the boot, he gets there, has nowhere else to go and his boot comes sideways on. The point of contact is nowhere near the Aubameyang tackle." Liverpool have 61 points after 21 matches and are 14-points-clear of Manchester City with one match played less than current champions.
