Everton midfielder suffers a new injury: He will reportedly not play in 2020

Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has suffered a Achilles injury and will reportedly not return this year, LiverpoolECHO understands. Gbamin joined the Toffees last summer from Bundesliga side Mainz. He played in two Premier League matches before suffering a horrible injury. Gbamin was supposed to return with the restart of the season.  The Ivorian international said in his recent interview he’s ready to return to the pitch.  "It is great to be back at Finch Farm with my teammates. I have my feeling back that I can get playing again.” Gbamin told Everton’s official website. "Training has been good. I worked a lot with Adam (Newall) in the past week, with social distancing in place. "We worked outside and did some ball work which was great for me to do after the lockdown. I am doing all the things the other players are doing with the ball and I hope to be able to join in full sessions with them soon, depending on what we are told is safe to do. "I am training with a view to playing this season if the Premier League returns. I feel good, fully recovered and I am ready.” he added.  Now Gbamin will have to recover for another 6 months.

“I will have him back” Everton fans react on recent twitter post about the former player
