January transfer window will soon reopen and Arsenal head coach Unai Emery will start to strengthen his squad with new names. Sevilla player Ever Banega who has been a target for Arsenal in the summer transfer window, could rejoin forces with his former boss Unai Emery in the nearest future. The Argentine international played under Emery at Valencia and Sevilla in the past and it won’t be a surprise to see him moving to Arsenal from La Liga as the Spanish coach is a big fan of the player. Reports from Argentina claim that Banega is close to leaving Sevilla to move to Arsenal at the request of Unai Emery, as he is the coach who always got the best out of him as a player. Arsenal travel to Brighton on Boxing Day facing a defensive injury crisis. Unai Emery could be without as many as five defenders for the trip to the AMEX Stadium as he continues to turn to the likes of Granit Xhaka and Stephan Lichtsteiner to fill in at centre-back.
