ESPN: Chelsea make key decision about N’Golo Kante and Jorginho

ESPN reports, Chelsea have made a key decision about N'Golo Kante and Joriginho. The Blues are reportedly ready to keep the duo at the club, in the meantime, they are ready to offload several players.  Frank Lampard is keen to improve his first-team options given that, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Michy Batshuayi and Davide Zappacosta are all likes to leave west London. Meanwhile, Lampard would like to keep Jorginho, despite the speculation linking him with a swap move to Juventus and Miralem Pjanic completing a move to London. They are also ready to keep Kante, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.  Lampard has also spoken out on contract extensions of players whose contracts run until June 30, 2020. “We have big players in that position so that’s obviously something I’m looking at very carefully,” Lampard told Chelseafc.com. “The ones out of contract here have been great servants for the club and actually have a lot of feeling for the club, but of course they will be concerned about themselves in terms of how they are now, and if pre-season is rushed they’ll want to make sure they’re alright. “So it’s going to have to be something we look at. Hopefully, we can have that arrangement so they can stay with us because if we play again I would love the squad to look as it’s looked all season, but we’ll have to see how that works.” Source: ESPN
